1. Energy Reduction & Efficiency

  • Energy-efficient operations: We have implemented basic energy-saving measures, such as using energy-efficient lighting (e.g., LED) and installing timers to reduce unnecessary electricity usage in our office and training spaces.

  • Remote delivery and blended learning: Our commitment to digital-first training delivery reduces the need for travel, lowering emissions related to transportation. With over 60% of our apprenticeship delivery now conducted online, we are helping to reduce both our energy consumption and our learners’ environmental impact.

2. Minimizing Travel Emissions

  • Paperless policy: We have introduced a digital-first policy, reducing our reliance on paper for documentation, marketing, and communications. Through increased use of electronic resources and cloud-based platforms, we have already reduced paper consumption by 50% and aim to achieve a 75% reduction by 2026.

  • Recycling and responsible waste disposal: All our offices and training centers are equipped with recycling facilities to ensure proper waste management. We regularly review our waste reduction policies and aim to achieve zero waste to landfill by 2035.

4. Sustainable Procurement

  • Local suppliers and ethical sourcing: We prioritize local suppliers and partners who demonstrate strong environmental practices. By sourcing from local businesses where possible, we aim to reduce the carbon footprint associated with transportation and promote sustainability within our supply chain.

  • Sustainable materials: Where we need physical materials for training or operations, we ensure they are sourced responsibly, prioritizing recycled or low-carbon alternatives.

5. Carbon Offsetting & Tree-Planting

  • Offsetting remaining emissions: To balance unavoidable emissions, we will partner with carbon offsetting initiatives that focus on reforestation, biodiversity, and renewable energy projects.

  • Tree-planting programs: We plan to contribute to tree-planting programs by working with local communities, with a target of planting 500 trees by 2028, to offset a portion of our carbon emissions.

6. Employee & Learner Engagement

  • Environmental training for staff and apprentices: We integrate sustainability training into our curriculum, ensuring that both our team and apprentices are aware of environmental best practices.
